 Receives $1,000 Scholarship
LOUISVILLE, Ky., July 18, 2007 — Jessica Weigand, daughter of Dan and Brenda Weigand of Warrensburg, MO, was recently awarded a $1,000 scholarship by the KABA/Select Sires, Inc. board of directors.
This fall Jessica will be enrolled at the University of Missouri as a freshman majoring in Agriculture Journalism with a minor in Agricultural Economics. Jessica had a strong application, which include FFA member area VII President, 4-H Club treasurer; Vice President of Missouri Jr. Angus Association, board representative of the Missouri Junior Cattlemen’s Association and has served as a public relations symbol for the Missouri Angus Princess.
Next fall, she plans to attend University of Missouri majoring in Ag Journalism with the hopes of becoming a sales/marketer for cattle operations. She also plans to take animal science classes, i.e. animal nutrition and ruminant nutrition to expand her knowledge of beef feed and nutrition.
