 Receives $1,000 Scholarship
LOUISVILLE, Ky., July 18, 2007 — Rebekah Towery, daughter of Steve and Donna Towery of Mt. Vernon, KY, was recently awarded a $1,000 scholarship by the KABA/Select Sires, Inc. board of directors.
This fall Rebekah will be enrolled at the Eastern Kentucky University as a freshman majoring in Agriculture with a minor in Business. Rebekah had a strong application, which includes working their family’s dairy farm; 60 registered Jersey cows, raising angus cows, helping with all operations of the farm plus working part-time for the county surveyor of Mt. Vernon for two years. Next fall, she plans to attend Eastern Kentucky University with the hopes of running her own farm.
