Glasgow Student Receives $1,000 Scholarship

LOUISVILLE, Ky., July 18, 2007 — Kyle Adams, son of Mark and Janice Adams of Glasgow, KY, was recently awarded a $1,000 scholarship by the KABA/Select Sires, Inc. board of directors.

This fall Kyle will be enrolled at the Western Kentucky University as a freshman majoring in Agriculture Business with a minor in Business Management. Kyle had a strong application, which includes numerous awards and honors, i.e. the Salute to Good Character award, Football Homecoming King (4 years of varsity), certified AI breeder, an active member of the Beta club, competing at the third district competition and placed in the Ag competition. He volunteers on the Farm Safety Day educating small children with safety techniques. FFA honors include Barren County Record Keeping award, Nursery Judging Team award and Star Chapter Farmer award.

Next fall, he plans to attend Western Kentucky University with the hopes of returning to the family farm to enhance productivity and management on the farm.
